Paid Blogging

Since I've been working out of home full-time I haven't been doing paid blogging as much. Now that I'm a stay at home mom again, that will probably change.

I love blogging for PPP and Smorty. Those are the ones I'm active on. PayU2Blog is hard to reach, I've been sending them emails to approve my blogs but to no avail. But I've heard good things about them too so I'll keep trying. :)

If You're A Mom Blogger...

...you should sign up to be included in The Mom Blogs Directory. Why? They will send you emails very so often about advertisers looking for mom testers of differennt products for free and all you need to do is fill out a survey form or two, or blog about the product on your own blog. Neat way to save on some household stuff that you already use. ;)

A couple weeks ago, I received a full-sized Swiffer Sweep+Vac valued at about $30, a Shrek 3 DVD movie, valued at about $15, and a gingerbread cookie--all for free! All I need to do is fill out a short, three-page survey form and walah, I never had to spend anything for my new vac and DVD movie, which my toddler loved. :)

Blogsvertise

I just applied to be a blogger on Blogsvertise today. Hopefully I will be accepted. This is a Blog Advertising site that will pay me (as a blogger) to write or talk about their advertisers on my blog.

Applying online was real easy. I just registered as a blogger and submitted my blog on their website at: http://www.blogsvertise.com/,. Right now, my application is still marked as "Pending" but once my submission is reviewed and I am accepted as a blogger, Blogsvertise will assign tasks to me to write about a specific advertiser on my blog.

So if you have a blog/journal setup with written content on your url/website, you too can apply to use their service as a blogger. If you don't have a blog already set up, they have a list of free blog services, for blog service sites where you can create your new blog.

Once accepted, you will be assigned tasks by the administrator to write about in your blog. They require that within your entry you must include 3 links to the website url in your blog. You don't have to endorse the advertiser's website products or services, just mention them in your blog. Whether you just want to mention how the product/site relates to in your life, review it, compliment or even complain about it, is up to you.

At least 2-3 paragraphs of approx 75 words or more is required for blog entry approval and the task/entry must be completed within 5 days of being emailed to you.
Your blog entry must remain online and be a permanent entry in your blog.

Also, blogs that are less then 30 days old, have little or no content, may be rejected or put on Probation status at a reduced payout rates.

Pornographic/adult oriented blogs are not permitted at all in Blogsvertise at this time, due to their adherence on Paypal rules regarding adult content.

For more details and to apply as a blogger and start generating income from your blog, go to: http://www.blogsvertise.com/,

BlogtoProfit: Another Paid Blogging Network

Blogtoprofit is another paid blogging network where you can submit your blog and make money.

Basically, how it works is that they connect you with advertisers that are interested in sponsoring your blog, then you post about the advertiser on your blog and you get paid.

How does your blog qualify?

Your blog doesn't have to have a page rank in order to qualify. If it's at least 3 months old and has enough backlinks and visitors, most likely your blog will get aacepted at BlogtoProfit.

Once you submit your blog for review, they will notify you if you got accepted. The website says they will review your blog and notify you after 24 hours. In the case of my other blog, I waited at least 3 days, then emailed the support person through the posted email address on their website, before I got a response.

Each post pays you $5 for a trial run, then it's suppose to go up from there.

Since you post on your blog at least 3-4 times a week anyway, blogging for such sites as Blogtoprofit or Blogsvertise 20 times a month at $5 each could easily convert to $100 a month paid blogging for you. Of course, you can make more than that with more paid blogging opportunities in the future.

I Have High-Quality Performance On PPP!

Wow, this came as a big surprise to me this morning when I did my first PPP opp for today. My post was auto-approved by PPP and then I got this email from them which said:
"Congratulations!! Your PayPerPost post, __________, has been automatically approved based on your high quality performance as a PPP Postie!"

This is very inspriring for me. I am now a huge PPP fan and will continue to write and blog for them as long as I can. I mean, isn't this great? I am getting paid for what I love to do--writing about different topics of interest. Not only my writing skills are improved, I also make money on my free time. Now, isn't that being productive? :)

Thanks, PPP! You are the best!

How To Make Money From Your Blog

I was reading on some helpful tips from probloggers about monetizing my blog and this one by Steve Pavlina struck me the most today.

It's very interesting how, as a blogger, we can find real ways to make money from our blogs. Right now I am loving PayPerPost, BlogToProfit, and Blogsvertise.

How about you? How do you make money off of your blog? Feel free to share your other money-making ideas here. :)

Get Paid To Blog For LoudLaunch

I recently submitted this blog to Loudlaunch, so I decided to discuss about it here on my blog. Here are some useful information I gathered about this blogging site:

LoudLaunch is a network who allows bloggers to earn money by reviewing and writing about advertisers’ press releases. This paid blogging site is very similar to other setups like Payperpost, Blogitive or ReviewMe, LoudLaunch and is currently accepting registrations from both advertisers and bloggers.

Here are some initial notes on LoudLaunch’s policies on blog posting and payment information:

*Full disclosure needed for sponsored posts.
*No requirement for positive posts or review.
*No limit to the number of blogs per person.
*Blogs must be in English and at least 60 days old.
*Submitted blogs need to undergo a discretionary review - emphasis on quality of writing, frequency of posts etc.
*Blogger needs to be at least 18 years old and have a valid SSN or Federal Tax ID.
*Participating blogger can only make two posts per day per blog.
*Blog posts have to remain on the blog for at least 45 days.
*Bloggers are paid based on the exposure their blog can deliver; from $5 to $200 per post.
*Payment is made only by Paypal and no other means.

Like many other bloging sites, I’m curious about how Loud Launch will turn out. I’m sure it’ll be another profitable option for bloggers looking to make money online. It’ll definitely be a welcome addition to the usual pay-to-post networks which, with the possible exception of Payperpost, seem to be experiencing a decrease in advertisers and a simultaneous increase in bloggers.

Creating Higher Conversions For Your Blog Through Your Blog Design

So I've been going back and forth about deciding to redesign my current blog. I know I need a lot of help in this matter, but my main concern is that right now I don't think I have good enough conversions on this blog--mainly because of my so-so blog design.

Inspired by Josh Spaulding's advice on his EZMOney Online blog and reading a new article "25 Ways to DESIGN Your Way to Higher Conversions" on SEOGuide, I am prompted to take a close look at my blog and hopefully expect a significant change in my blog's conversions.

I Signed Up For PayPerPost!

When I first heard about PayPerPost program from a blogger friend who first introduced me to 'blogging for money', I was impressed. At the time I wasn't aware of the whole concept of blog advertising.

What Is PayPerPost and how does it work?

PayPerPost, or its widely-known acronym PPP in the blogosphere, is a paid blogging network which connects the advertisers with bloggers through the promotion of the advertisers' products and/or services on blogs. Advertisers compensate bloggers for creating content--reviews, feedacks, short articles--on their blogs.

This is a win-win situation: Advertisers win by increasing sales and traffic through blog promotion, and bloggers win by getting paid just for posting reviews about the advertisers.

Why did I sign up to be a blogger on PayPerPost?

A lot of my friends who are into blogging registered their blogs on PayPerPost and I have heard nothing but positive feedbacks about them. One friend told me that you can literally sit infront of your computer, write reviews on advertisers and make your daily income this way! A great way to spend your time online--you don't only learn about the different products featured in the marketplace. You get to review them too and in the process, get paid for writing your reviews!

I love PPP! This is by far the best paid blogging network that really pays for your time and effort online. So if you have a blog that has good, quality content and is older than 90 days old, you too can be a paid blogger through PayPerPost (PPP).

Blogging For Money: A Few More Ideas

Here are more ways on how you can make money off your blog:

*GOOGLE ADSENSE. Selling ad space might be the oldest way to make money, and with Google's free AdSense service (www.google.com/adsense), it's way too easy. AdSense allows bloggers to display up to three content-specific "ad units" (boxes that can hold up to four ads each) per page. If you're writing about children's books, they'll be ads about children's books. Each time a visitor clicks these ads, you get paid. Google doesn't disclose its exact share of the revenue, but a personalized report page lets you track your own earnings. When you earn at least $100, Google sends you a check.

*BLOGADS.COM. BlogAds lets you join its database free and set your own ad prices. Companies (including media bigs such as Paramount Pictures and Random House) then search for suitable blogs and purchase ad space for a set period -- say, one month. In contrast to the way AdSense works, your earnings don't depend on whether a reader clicks the ad. All you have to do is give 20 percent of your net revenue to Mr. BlogAd, and you keep the rest. You can approve or decline potential ads at will, and you have more control on the ads shown on your blog.

*SIGN UP TO BE AN AFFILIATE. Post ads on your blog provided by Amazon.com or Lands End, for example, and receive a small commission every time your readers click that ad, go to the company's Web site and end up buying a book or splurging on a down jacket. Referral fees -- the cash you get from these transactions -- vary (you can earn as much as 10 percent per sale from Amazon). LinkShare (www.linkshare.com) claims to run the Internet's biggest "affiliate marketing network," with more than 700 companies on its roster of advertisers. Another service, Commission Junction (www.cj.com), runs programs for eBay and Expedia.com, among others.

*DONATION BUTTONS. If you think you have a blog that your readers enjoy, why not ask for a little monetary appreciation? The online payment service PayPal (www.paypal.com) lets you add a donation button to your blog. You can opt to receive money in U.S. dollars, Canadian dollars, Japanese yen, pounds sterling or euros. When visitors give money, PayPal sends you an e-mail to let you know. Amazon's Honor System (www.amazon.com/honorsystem) and BitPass (www.bitpass.com) offer similar donation options.

*SELL BLOG-RELATED ITEMS THROUGH CAFEPRESS. Create your own blog-branded gear at CafePress.com, which offers more than 50 products begging for your unique logo. Product ranges from T-shirts, tote bags, coffee cups, even sexy underwear! :) You get to sell each product at whatever price you set. CafePress gets back the original base price ($13.99 for T-shirts, $10.99 for mugs); you keep the markup. Just add your online store's link to your blog, and all that's left to do is wait for CafePress to send you a monthly check.

So with these and I'm sure, tons of other ways to make money off your blog, blogging can practically become like your real job.

Top 10 Sites To Blog For Money

One of the many ways for bloggers to make money online is to get paid for blogging. Here are paid blogging or paid review sites to submit your blog to make money online.

1.
Probably the highest-paying paid blogging site, Payperpost has lots of opportunities. Even better if your site has a high PageRank, you could actually make some very nice pocket money completing the maximum limit of 3 posts a day since higher PR blogs have access to high paying offers. Currently the highest paying offer is USD 175.00 for a post - but your blog has to have a PR6. However there are quite a lot of USD5.00 - USD15.00 offers for low traffic blogs as well.

Beware though, PayPerPost has the most rules and regulations to follow such as your PPP post must be between 2 non-paid posts, and there are other advertiser requirements such as having the post title in your browser window.

You have to check in frequently if you want to get the high paying posts as these get taken up very fast. After you accept an opportunity, you have 6 hours (subject to change) to post the URL or the opportunity will be returned back onto the board que for other bloggers to see.

2. Blogsvertise

There are not many offers on this site but if you go for quantity, all those USD5.00 posts do add up. Usually only about 100 words are required but at least 3 anchor links are mandatory for each post. You are emailed the offers from time to time but you can also browse the grab bag for offers which other bloggers have failed to complete or rejected.

The site navigation is a little annoying as you have to change the category of your blog to check if there are any other offers. In my opinion, it would be more user-friendly if all offers from the grab bag are displayed together on a page instead of having to waste time changing categories.

3. Smorty
A fairly new site, Smorty sets the fee for a blog post according to your blog’s traffic statistics. Lower traffic blogs get a flat USD6.00 fee per post of at least 150 words. They have a limited amount of offers and types of advertisers, but promises better things to come when they grow their current list of advertisers.

4. Sponsored Reviews
The requirements for this blogging site are fairly high. Once accepted though, you can set your own fees to a limit set by Sponsored Reviews. The opportunities are listed with traffic requirements and price offers and if your blog qualifies, you can send in a bid for the offer. This method of matching advertiser with blogger means that lower traffic blogs will find it hard to get any offers since advertisers tend to pick higher traffic blogs.

5. ReviewMe
Has very high requirements and standards for paid blogs and unless your blog has a good Page Rank and traffic ranking, you will hardly find any offers as advertisers pick blogs and choose the ones they want to advertise on. The fee for a blog is based not entirely on PageRank, is set by ReviewMe who takes half the amount.

6. Blogging Ads
Recently revamped, posts here work on a slightly different model in that they are already written. So all you have to do is to copy and paste onto your blog. Each blog is limited to a maximum of 3 posts a month fixed at USD5.00 per post. Your blog must be indexed by Google and more than 3 months old to be considered. Opportunities are few and limited and once you have done the current offers, you have to wait 3 months to take the same offers again, and there may not be new ones available for a couple of months.

7. LinkWorth
They have several monetizing programs such as banners and in-text links in addition to their get paid to blog option. Member bloggers can set their own price tags for a post but must factor in LinkWorth’s share. Standard Partners get 70% of the set price while Preferred Partners get 50%. The difference is that LinkWorth markets the sites of Preferred Partners so they get more exposure and more offers from advertisers.

8. Creamaid
One of the lowest paying sites, with fees mostly in the region of USD1.00 - USD2.00 with another dollar or two as referral fee. A large widget which serves as both the disclosure and referral button must be placed at the end of a post. If a blogger takes up the offer from your post, you will earn the referral fee.

9. LoudLaunch
There are quite a lot of opportunities with the amount to be paid - usually USD5.00 - determined by your blog traffic and ranking. Posts rejected are not told the reason and not given a chance to rectify the problem. A large disclosure widget button has to be placed at the end of each post.

10. Bloggerwave
Recently resolved its payment problems with PayPal and back on track with its get paid to blog programme, which the sympathetic have attributed to over-zealous PayPal admins. Many bloggers who had their payment reversed have reported getting paid even though they had already deleted their posts.

So What Is A Blog?

Put simply, a blog is a type of website that is usually arranged in chronological order from the most recent ‘post’ (or entry) at the top of the main page to the older entries towards the bottom. It is an 'online diary' covering any topic usually of interest to the writer/blogger. From photography, to spirituality, to recipes, to personal diaries to hobbies - blogging has as many applications and varieties as you can imagine.

Blogs are usually (but not always) written by one person and are updated pretty regularly.

If you are new to blogging and want some hints on how to get started - a very good reference is Darren Rowse's "Blogging for Beginners" tips. Join the blogosphere and explore ways to make money by blogging.

A blog is virtually free to set up and easy to maintain and manage. Just use Blogger (like this blog), Wordpress, movable type, or Typepad to set up a free account and start blogging.

One thing I can offer as a sort of advice is "read, research and learn". There are a lot of things to know and learn about blogging. You will soon find this out as you blog along, but the benefits you gain are well worth the time and effort you put into it.

Top 100 Make Money Online Blogs

Mark, the nice blogger guy from 45n5.com has compiled a list of the Top 100 Make Money Online Blogs to serve as a reference guide for anyone interested to make money online.

According to him, blogs are ranked using many metrics and bloggers can use it to see where their blogs stand against friends and competition alike. Advertisers will also find it a helpful reference when deciding where to spend their advertising dollar.

Top of the list of as expected, are familiar favourites like ProBlogger, John Chow, Shoemoney and Dosh Dosh. The list gets updated weekly and as of this week, I'm on Number 158..hmm, not bad I guess for a fairly new blog. ;)

Hmm, if I could even make it to the very bottom of Top 100, I'd just be happy...who knows one lucky day. :)
